I think the use of lots of white, and nice open, airy spaces keeps it that way.
Also, the use of cozy, friendly decor, like the gingham blue checkered tablecloths, and blue and white delftware pottery vases keep the vibe welcoming and cheery, without sacrificing elegance.
The cocktail tables also featured gingham tablecloths, in line with the blue and gold theme.
Long farmhouse dining tables were interspersed with round tables for seating and dining that also invites mingling among guests.
The sweethearts sat at a loveseat in the middle of one of the farmhouse tables, nestled in amongst family and friends.
Hydrangeas, in white and blue were accented with garden roses for fluffy, full centerpieces.
The escort cards and place cards were hand-calligraphy done by J.Lilly design. The gold place card holders are Country Chapel’s solid brass holders.
And a cute, simple cake for the bride and groom.
I just love the feeling of this venue! The open air, the lake in the distance, the couches and comfy chairs scattered around just seems to invite relaxation and friendly conversation. I imagine the family and friends at this wedding getting together and having an amazing time, with a warm end-of-summer breeze coming off the lake as the sun goes down.
What a beautiful venue!
